Sunpet was first established in 1997 as sunny industries company. In 2001, it was incorporated and changed to its present name. The plant is in a single enclosed complex of six blocks. Total working floor space is 3,000 square metres and houses over 200 workers.

Sunpet specialises mainly in manufacturing optical products. In 1997, sunpet set up the first ultra-precision machining centre in Hong kong for plastic aspherical lens manufacturing.
At sunpet, there are excellent in-house facilities to enable products to be developed and manufactured under the same roof. Sunpet has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certificate.
